Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Muthakkir.

How does Muthakkir know my prayer times?

Muthakkir uses your location to calculate precise prayer times based on established calculation methods. The device is pre-configured with your location's coordinates during setup, ensuring accurate prayer times without any manual configuration.

Do I need an internet connection for Muthakkir to work?

Yes. Muthakkir needs an internet connection both during setup and while running, so it can keep prayer times accurate and receive updates. We recommend a stable connection wherever the device is installed.

Can I choose different Athan voices?

Yes, Muthakkir comes with multiple Athan voices from renowned muezzins. You can select your preferred Athan voice through our web portal or by contacting our support team who can update it remotely for you.

How is Muthakkir different from prayer apps on my phone?

Unlike phone apps that require you to keep your phone on, manage notifications, and connect to speakers manually, Muthakkir is a dedicated device that works independently. It plays the Athan automatically through its built-in speaker or connected audio system without requiring any interaction from you.

What kind of speakers can I connect to Muthakkir?

Muthakkir features a standard 3.5mm audio output that can connect to most speaker systems, including powered speakers, amplifiers, or mosque PA systems. For larger spaces, we recommend connecting to an amplified speaker system.

How do I get support if I have issues?

Muthakkir comes with one year of remote support included. Our team can connect to your device remotely (with your permission) to diagnose and fix most issues without requiring you to do anything. You can also reach our support team via email or phone.
